About us
Committed to Keeping Your Children The Best Authentic Self.
Young children who go to Little Leaps and Bounds Day Center will get the tools and support they need for their healthy development. All activities are carefully designed to adequately nurture the emotional, intellectual and physical growth of our kids. Through stimulating situations and hands-on learning opportunities, children are free to develop into bright young minds. We are dedicated to providing professional development opportunities for all teachers to ensure that we remain at the forefront of the Early Childhood Education field. This is important so we can offer the best care and education possible for your child. We are an open minded Day Center and we are always ready to listen, learn and to achieve our goals with our families, communities and surrounding areas.

Little Leaps and Bounds Day Center adheres to a holistic approach of early childhood education. When we expose children to different environments and various learning experiences, we allow them to explore their self-awareness and gain a sense of the world around them. Once they leave our Day Center, they’re fully prepared for the next stage of their young lives. We're passionate about early childhood education, our teachers have ECE Certification and combination experiences of Reggio, Montessori, and Loose Parts and much more to enhance learning. We are caring individuals who develop real bonds of love, and genuine concern for the success and acceptance of each child, honoring the unique qualities of your child and how they learn.
Collective of Small Day Centers
Our perspective is to draw together small daycare facilities to form a new company called Collective of Small Day Centers. This concept is to help build and support small daycare owners who want to expand their In-home care, or to have their first and second center. Our company does provide small daycare owners with a reliable builder who knows of licensing policies and the city by-laws to make smooth transitions of opening daycares. The Collective of Small Day Centers are Early Childhood Educator teachers “ECE”, who are in crisis of losing small businesses in this field. This opportunity will generate businesses for the providers who can’t afford to be in this high leasing market. Our exceptional and unique Early Childhood Educators will produce and flourish the best care for every child and to create outstanding experience for the families. The pillar of having smaller classrooms that we provide in our communities we care for, will enhance our children’s educational, physical and mental health growth in their next steps to kindergarten school.
I am a daycare Owner/Director for three years and I know for myself, and other small centers are struggling to expand our goals in growing concerns. We share the same fears that many small daycares that construct the beliefs of quality care are being extinguished in that costs of our children by crowding in large rooms under one complex. Big classrooms are sometimes overwhelming for some young children even when the ratio is 1 Early Childhood Educator to 8 children. 3 ECE'S in one room with 24 children can be much more challenging. Imagine 100 Kids. This is creating more problems in the children’s behavioral because the lack of personal connection, this is not the teacher's fault, it is a sad problem of our society. The fact is, in this industry many ECE’s are leaving the workforce within 2 years to get a different career for the simple reason of burnout, stress and low respect as teachers.
How does this work? We have a list of daycare owners who are united to be included under the umbrella of the Collective of Small Day Centers. We are independent facilities that are sharing the costs in leasing, billings, and insurance by square footage split in the leasing building. The Administration Fees are contributed to the collective to support the financial rental agreements and the costs of renovations. We will have monthly Administration board meetings to see what is working, what we need to improve on, and what responsibilities need to be clear in our Administration hand books as well as the individual daycares. Having this organized in such a way, we will be able to keep happy staff members and families that we are supporting in their community.
The individual facilitates have their own savings and materials to run their classrooms and the opportunity to share staff if needed to keep in licensing ratio. To obtain our own entity, we will keep our business names and responsibilities of our own classrooms of all ages, this includes investments, grants, licensing, maintenance, staff: ECEIT, ECE, ECE Assistance, Responsible Adult, Practicum Students from colleges and Volunteers with criminal record checks, etc.
The Ideology is for smaller centers to always feel like a home base, It is comfortable when parents and children walk into a calming, loving atmosphere. We always hear children who do not want to leave but asks to say “just 5 more minutes” of play time. Children focus better on learning at circle time, problem solving with big emotions and bonding with the teacher and friends. The Collective of Small Day Centers share these values and wants to see a better place for our children.
